The two main ingredients that are found in the marijuana plant are CBD and THC. Together these both belong to an exclusive class of compounds known as cannabinoids.
Most of the CBD used as a food supplement is found in the least processed form of the cannabis plant, known as hemp. Hemp and marijuana come from the same plant, but they couldn’t be more different.
From birth, we naturally produce endocannabinoids-a compound similar to CBD. People are shocked to find out it’s already in our body, and our bodies already love it. Cannabinoids aren’t just found in the cannabis plant, they’re in us too. That’s why taking CBD is so important in supporting our health and wellness.
Every human and many animals too have a system present in their bodies known as The Endogenous Cannabinoid System. This system is so heavily involved in our health that it can restore balance when we are ill or make poor lifestyle choices.
When we take CBD, it stimulates our endocannabinoids system which is a system of receptors throughout the body. It is vital to keep this system in check as it helps our immune systems, protect our brains, help us manage stress and even keep our bodies in balance.
CBD is known as a non-psychoactive cannabinoid meaning when you take it, it won’t get you high-this unique feature of CBD is what makes it so great and appealing for taking care of ourselves.
Unfortunately, we cannot give out advice on using cannabis oil for anything medical related. We sell our CBD products as food supplements to help support and maintain a healthy body and mind and it’s always important to do your own thorough research-depending on what you are using CBD for, before trying it out.
With that said, you do not have to be ‘ill’ to use CBD it is for everyone no matter how healthy you may be. It provides a source of essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals, healthy fatty acids like Omega-3, protein and it’s organically grown too.
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle while incorporating CBD into your routine is the best thing you can do to protect yourself from all forms of illness.
Regardless of your age, CBD has dozens of wellness benefits. Many of us realise the important of “balance” in our daily lives. Balancing work and play is a critical part of our physical and mental health. Using CBD as a daily supplement is a great way to support your bodies Endocannabinoid system and keep it in balance so why not use it as a preventative!
People often believe that because CBD is associated with the cannabis plant, that if they take it will make them “stoned” like smoking cannabis does! WRONG!
CBD is simply a non-intoxicating component which has enormous potential. Your state of mind etc. will not change if you take CBD at all. Although it can make changes in the body- this isn’t one of them.
The way we extract CBD allows us to pull all of the natural and beneficial nutrients out of the cannabis plant without getting anything nasty in there as well. Not only are you NOT getting high, but you are getting a product from us that’s natural and safe.
CBD is legal, because hemp is legal in the Europe. Hemp is a plant that is safe, natural, and non-toxic. It can be used for almost anything. There need not to be any grey areas when it comes to CBD.
When it comes to cannabis, however, it is still illegal to use it or possess it. Maybe this is why people tend to get confused. Cannabidiol (CBD) though, is not considered a controlled substance in the UK. It is therefore 100% legal and can be freely distributed in the UK without restrictions.
If you want to use CBD products it is TOTALLY legal to do so.
When it comes to cannabis, drugs tests pick up THC (the compound that does make you high). Drugs test are carried out because THC is known for the feelings of euphoria it provides and this is the illegal part!
Most hemp oil or CBD products are sold with much lower levels of THC (less than 0.2%) so most consumers will never have a problem passing a drugs test
Remember, CBD isn’t even being tested for and most work places aren’t going to have a problem with you using it- it’s non-psychoactive
All of this said, individuals who take UNUSUALLY large doses of CBD (1000-2000mg of hemp oil daily) could theoretically fail a drugs test but let’s put this in perspective
We suggest that our customers do not go over the maximum 200mg a day of hemp oil. Even if you took 3 of our CBD capsules morning, noon, and night (3x10mg) and then use our CBD oil spray 4 times a day (4x5mg) you are still only having 50mg of CBD. Nowhere near 1000mg or 2000mg to be able to fail a drugs test.
Just because the cannabis plant can be known for recreational use that does not mean that it automatically makes it addictive. It is true however that you can become addicted to cannabis but what about CBD, which is made from the other cannabis plant which is hemp.
CBD is categorically not addictive, so let your worries fade away!
A report last year by the World Health Organization declared that CBD is non-addictive, writing, “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential” and that “CBD is well-tolerated and safe for human consumption.
CBD is not addictive as it contains no/very little THC. THC is the ingredient that causes cannabis to be addictive in some people.
When it comes to taking CBD with other medications, we only ever advise one thing- if you are unsure, check with a medical professional before using it as it can, on occasion, interact with other medicines. Always stick to the recommended dose too and if you are taking other meds keep a two hour window between taking CBD and whatever else you take.
Since CBD cannabinoids naturally occur in the body they therefore naturally work with the endocannabinoid system to control communication between cells and mediate body function. This means CBD is perfectly safe for children.
CBD is non-psychoactive so your child will categorically not get high from using it.
Without children, CBD might never have received as much investigation and study as it has. By providing such unique nutritional content, CBD hemp oil earns a place among other favourite daily vitamins and supplements to give to your family each day.
Each person’s endocannabinoid system works differently and reacts differently with each person body. There is no straight, solid scientific information that states how much CBD you should be taking at any one time, always start off with a small dose and work your way up.
Height and weight play a part as well as the quality of the CBD oil. If you are bigger or taller than the average person you may need more and visa versa. Also, if you have smoked cannabis in the past you may feel like you need more.
Either way we advise you do not go over the daily maximum dosage of 200mg.
It’s available in many forms, and all the different means of consumption, make CBD a very versatile product.
The best methods will depend on the person but always remember to start with the recommended serving size, then increase from there.
Here at Think CBD we have a method of ingestion to suit everyone. The sublingual route of taking CBD is probably the same as the oral route (capsules) with regards to easiness, simplicity, and comfort.
If you are not familiar with the term ‘sublingual’ it basically means ‘absorption under the tongue’. This is how you use our CBD oil.
CBD is perfectly safe for animals and we have a lot of customers who specifically buy for their pets. The truth is the same supplements you take can also be given to your pets. We would just recommend adding the drops of hemp oil to your pet’s food.
Simply add a few drops to their meals once or twice and day and monitor how your pet reacts. Watch as they have a new lease of life and play as if they were puppies or kittens again!
During pregnancy CBD containing products are not recommended.
CO2 extraction is an extraction process that uses pressurized carbon dioxide (CO2) to extract phytochemicals (such as CBD, CBG, or terpenes, flavonoids, etc.) from a plant. CO2 at certain temperatures and pressures acts like a solvent, without the dangers of actually being one. It is the most expensive extraction method and is widely considered the most effective and safest plant extraction method.
